20 years of performing experience started with six nights a week in a Pentecostal church, learning every song one could for every music act in the congregation. Albert Sanudo Jr. played bass guitar mostly, but no one knew he was predominantly a guitarist (his first secret in church hahaha). The only hook was, with the exception of worship, every song was up for grabs as long as the words were changed to “fit the message”. Needless to say, he was doing every cover of dirty dance hall Spanish music to System of a Down’s “Toxicity” and right back to “When the Saints Go Marching In”. What an eclectic way to grow up. Flash forward about 15 years, from San Diego, CA to Youngstown, OH, playing seedy dive bars and an occasional venue or two later, San Luis Obispo, CA gives birth to the Albert Jr. Band.
